So it's been three weeks since our last update,
but we have an excuse. Elena, Pumpkin and I were in Italy for a
little R&R for
the past two weeks and I did not have a chance to update the site
prior to our departure. Elena and I had never been to Italy before
and as Murphy's Law would have it, we found ourselves in Rome during
the Historic passing of Pope John Paul II. In any event, Pumpkin
loved eating Gelato and Pizza and seeing the historic sites and
beautiful countryside. Mother and child fared well throughout the
trip but
Daddy got sick a week into it and had to rest a full day in the
Hotel in Florence to recover. Our 14 day trip included visits to Milan,
Lugano Switzerland, Como, Verona, Venice, Padua, Pisa, Florence,
Naples, Sorrento, Capri, Pompeii, and Rome. We took twelve hundred
pictures and over four and a half hours of video while we were there.
There was just so much to see and we did not want to forget a thing.
Venice was our favorite city. How can you not like a city that has
no cars or roads?
Elena and Pumpkin loved the pizza in Capri (Pizza
Before, Pizza
After).
