"You say it's
your Birthday! It's my Birthday too - yeah!" So today is
my birthday and I am 36 years old. I remember how as a child
growing up I couldn't
wait for my birthday to come, time seemed to almost stand still
and although becoming an adult was inevitable, it felt like it
was
a lifetime
away. Now, birthdays seem to occur
much too often and the years appear to fly by at a relentless
pace. Despite this, I still look forward to my birthday because
of all the TLC
you
get,
and for that one day out of the year you essentially get a
blank check to do whatever you want and nobody questions you
or complains. It's good to be the King. :)
Elena and I have made
some good progress on our tasks as we prepare for Emma's arrival.
We have cleaned out Emma's room completely and purchased the
paint we will be using to decorate it. I will be painting it
either next weekend or the weekend that follows. I'll
post the pictures here as soon as it is done. I can't wait to
make it all pretty for her and load it up with the wonderful
gifts
that
we
have
already
started receiving.
Emma's
Godmother,
Ceci and Cousin Tony purchased her crib for
her, and her Great Aunt Araceli, bought her a very chic and
stylish car
seat and
stroller combo.
Anna Christina and Junior (Emma's cousins) shipped us a beautiful
bouncer chair
that Emma can't wait to sit and wiggle in.
Elena
and I are overwhelmed by the tremendous generosity we are
currently experiencing
from our friends and loved-ones. To the point where we felt
too guilty to even put certain items on our registry. These
items we intended to pick up on our own. Despite this, people
have
contacted us directly and insisted that they purchase particular
items no-matter the cost. Emma is sooo so very spoiled...
